Data 1
An example of HCG’s commitment to support local retail and ecology while attracting Fortune 100 tenants, Data 1 proves a building can do it all at the same time. This 130,000 project was completed in 2017 and was 100% pre-leased. It achieved LEED Gold and Salmon Safe certification. Data 1 is a partnership between the HCG Group and HAL Real Estate. Key team members include: Weber Thompson, DCI, KPFF, and Pennon Construction.

Data 1 was also the beginning HCG’s ongoing commitment to treat stormwater before it goes into Lake Union. The team created a bioswale on Troll Avenue to treat ~250,000 gallons of dirty stormwater that would have otherwise flowed directly into Lake Union, damaging ecosystems and hurting salmon. Instead, Data 1’s bioswale filters the stormwater to save Salmon and the Lake.
